Submission Guidelines

Fishbowl Press, an online lit mag based out of Germany that traditionally focuses on short-fiction, is NOW open for general poetry submissions for publication starting July 2019! One poet and their work will be featured weekly along with a brief interview so readers can get to know them better. Poets will be contacted with interview questions upon confirmation of their acceptance. No pay/no fee.

Send us between 3 and 6 pieces of your best work in a Word document (.doc or .docx) or PDF for consideration. We want your edgy, your unconventional, and your experimental that make us think and challenge us to see the world in a different way…or maybe clearly for the first time.

We are particularly interested in pieces that reflect a novel use of language and push limits. Pieces that come from a “fishbowl perspective” (looking from the inside out and all that entails) will be looked upon as particularly groovy.

We prefer unpublished pieces but are open to previously published work that is exceptional, as long as credit is given to the original publisher(s) and you hold the rights to reprint.

Email us your submission with bio (max 100 words) to our Poetry Editor David Estringel to
